History of Kushalnagar:-

In the 18th century Kushalanagar was called " Frazer Pete". The then ruler Hyder Ali camped at Frazer Pete while on an invasion with his army, he received the news of the birth of his son. Tippu Sultan. On hearing the good news, the delighted Hyder ordered his army to enjoy and celebrate and he called the town as "kush nagar" or Kushinagar".

To re-live the past glory a similar ambience has been recreated at " Veerabhoomi" a theme based Holiday Resort, where the entire glory is restored with the looks of a battle field ambience, tent like cottages.
